How to Clean a Toilet
This moving moment is all about your toilet.
Years ago when I moved into a share flat in London I was disgusted by the state of the toilet. Disgusted.
I donned a mask, found some rubber gloves and went to town on the grossest pedestal known to man (or woman).
After that day of toxic hell I put together a toilet cleaning kit and a ‘How to Clean a Toilet Checklist’.
Thankfully the other (3) housemates didn’t take offence about the How to Checklist, in fact no one ever mentioned it – they would routinely clean the loo.
I overheard an exiting housemate giving a new tenant a tour and when it came to the toilet he pointed to the checklist and said “This is everyone’s responsibility – no excuses.”
Cleaning a toilet is one of those life skills that you need to know before you leave home or you learn along the way. Without a doubt it is a horrible job – if you have the right items on hand you can get in and out within 5 minutes.
